5. Payments
CollisionLoop never holds your money. You connect a payment provider you already have an account with (or open one during setup), and funds flow directly from the customer to that account.
Supported providers
| Provider | Best for | How it connects |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Most shops — fastest setup | Stripe Connect Express, hosted onboarding |
| Stripe (your keys) | Shops that already manage their own Stripe account and prefer not to use Connect | Paste your secret and publishable keys |
| Square | Shops already using Square POS | OAuth |
| iPOSpays | Shops with an iPOSpays terminal in the lane | Terminal pairing |
Only one provider can be connected at a time.
Where to set it up
Settings → Payments
Owner-only — this surface controls where customer money lands.
Connecting Stripe (recommended)
- Click Connect Stripe.
- You’re redirected to Stripe Connect Express. Sign in to Stripe, or create an account.
- Provide your bank account and the basic information Stripe requires (business details, identity check).
- Stripe redirects you back to the Payments page. Status flips to Active once Stripe reports
chargesEnabledandpayoutsEnabled.
If onboarding is interrupted, the page shows a Continue onboarding button that re-mints the Stripe link.
Connecting Square
- Click Connect Square.
- OAuth into your Square account.
- Pick the Square location to bill from.
Connecting Stripe with your own keys
For shops that prefer not to use Stripe Connect. Paste your live secret and publishable keys; CollisionLoop charges directly through your account.
Connecting iPOSpays
iPOSpays uses a local terminal. Pair the terminal from the Payments page, validate with a test ping, and you’re connected.
Skipping payment integration
You can operate without a provider connected, but you cannot place a deposit hold or process refunds programmatically. Manual payment intake (cash, check, external card terminal) is always available on the rental record.
Disconnecting
Use Disconnect on the Payments page. New customer payments are blocked until you reconnect a provider. Existing payments and payouts are unaffected.
